Anthony Weiner’s @RepWeiner Twitter Feed Sees First Net Drop Ever in Followers

Weiner Drops

The graphic shows it all:

Weiner Drops

Since the whole Weinergate began, @RepWeiner jumped into growth mode and hasn’t stopped — that is, until June 23, two days ago. Since he’s resigned and dropped out of the news cycles and because Rep. Weiner is not tweeting, followers are abandoning him. Hopefully it’s not an exile effect, but simply boredom waiting for the brash Democrat to “speak” again — hopefully without photos.

Rep. Weiner needs to tweet, especially if he intends on maintaining his 83,000-plus following.

Interestingly enough, Time Magazine had suggested on March 28 for people to follow @RepWeiner for the “brashness and sarcasm” that came across in the 140 characters. Now followers have had silence for almost a month.
